Team Seating
Each team has an assigned number, which is displayed on the table. Please locate your table using your team number upon arrival. Each team will have one table (team sizes may vary; please be considerate).

Competition Preparation
-
Bring your robot, iPad or laptop, and all charging cables, and ensure sufficient battery
-
Bring all robot components in case of unexpected issues
-
Pay close attention during the opening ceremony, especially the “surprise rules”
-
Practice only at your assigned competition table
-
Communicate respectfully with judges
-
Respect the competition and remain until the closing ceremony regardless of results
-
Follow your planned strategy in Round 1; aim for stability. Adjust in Round 2 based on results. Consider surprise rules in Round 3
-
Surprise rules are generally simple. Teams aiming for higher scores or recovering from earlier rounds should complete them. Place related code at the end of the program
-
This is a qualifying competition (except Sumo). The primary goal is qualification for nationals, not achieving the highest single-round score
Check-in Procedure
-
Memorize your team number and write it on your hand before entering
-
Check in at the venue (school name: ORC) and collect your T-shirt
-
Locate your table by team number, change into your T-shirt, and label your team number if needed; WRO teams must label their robot
-
Check the screen to find your competition table and practice there
-
Participate in the ORC group photo
-
Attend the opening ceremony and listen for surprise rules
-
Practice may continue after the opening ceremony until the competition starts
-
Focus on stability in Round 1; aim higher in later rounds and complete surprise rules
-
WRO teams must follow QUARANTINE rules: only one program allowed, robot must remain powered on, and inspection is required; missing the time results in zero score for the round
-
After each QUARANTINE, return to your table and wait for your turn; after each round, return the robot to the QUARANTINE area and retrieve it after all teams finish
Live Competition Schedule
All competition timings on site are based on the real-time competition schedule, which is automatically updated. Teams are responsible for monitoring it throughout the event.
Judges are not responsible for teams that miss their scheduled time. Missing a match will result in a loss or a score of zero.
Please note that although a schedule is provided, the timing may be adjusted earlier or later depending on on-site conditions. Teams should stay alert and be prepared in advance.

Competition Task and Schedule Explanation
For WRO events, please note that each round includes a mandatory QUARANTINE phase.
The schedule includes:
Team number (note: there are two team numbers for sumo events)
Competition table number
-
The first line under the ZONE01 logo/clock displays the competition task information.
-
The next line shows entries such as “30—A” or “30—B,” indicating the assigned table (A or B). The letter label is posted under the table. The number is for internal use and can be ignored. Once your table is identified, please practice only at your assigned table. Due to the number of participants, parents are encouraged to guide their children to actively use their designated space.
-
The light blue time columns indicate each team’s round schedule, with different colors representing different rounds. Practice is allowed between rounds. In SUMO matches, each time slot shows two team numbers, indicating opponents. Teams are encouraged to identify their opponents in advance, observe their setup or strategy, and make adjustments accordingly.
-
The schedule is updated in real time. When a team is competing, its number will flash. This helps teams know when to proceed to the table. If the previous team finishes early, there is no need to start early—please follow your assigned time.
-
WRO teams must strictly follow QUARANTINE rules. Only one program is allowed on the robot, and the robot must remain powered on.
-
During each round, laptops or iPads are not allowed in the competition area. Robots must be started using onboard controls.
